Jay Quinlan serves as Assistant U. S. Attorney, Eastern District of Louisiana, Living with ALS

Jay was born and raised in the New Orleans area. He graduated from Jesuit High School in 1986, and Louisiana State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance in 1990, and Juris Doctor degree in 1993. Following graduation from law school, Jay has been employed as an Assistant District Attorney for Orleans Parish from 1994-1997, an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Louisiana from 1997-2003 where he served as the Director of the Gaming Division from 2000-2003, and as an Assistant United States Attorney since 2003 where he has supervised several units in the office and presently serves as Senior Litigation Counsel.

Jay and his wife of 21 years, Stephanie, have two children, Virginia (19), a sophomore at Louisiana State University and Will (15), a ninth grader at Jesuit High School. Jay has coached several basketball, baseball, and softball teams at Pontiff playground while his children played sports at the playground. He also served as a den leader for St. Catherine of Siena’s Cub Scout Pack for five years. From 2015-2018, Jay served on the Board of Metairie Country Club.
